How does Botox Cosmetic work?
BOTOX® Cosmetic targets one of the underlying causes of frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines — the repeated muscle contractions from frowning, squinting, smiling and raising the eyebrows over the years. Dr. Collado will inject these muscles with BOTOX® Cosmetic to temporarily reduce muscle activity. You will begin to notice a visible smoothing of the frown lines between your brows, your crow’s feet lines and your forehead lines.
When will I see results?
You may begin seeing results within 24 to 48 hours, however, you should expect the results to be at its peak beginning 3 weeks after the procedure. While it may vary, most individuals will continue seeing results for up to 4 months.
Will my face look overdone or unnatural?
BOTOX® Cosmetic is a technique-sensitive treatment. You can trust BOTOX® Cosmetic to deliver subtle results when you are treated by someone who is licensed, trained, and a medical expert in facial anatomy. So you’ll look like yourself—only with less noticeable lines. No one should be able to tell you’ve had anything done.
What should I expect? Does treatment hurt?
Some patients report that being injected with BOTOX® Cosmetic feels like a pinch. In some cases, patients may feel a slight burning sensation while the solution is being injected.
How much time does treatment take?
The injection process is quite quick – taking 20 minutes or less. Dr. Collado will discuss your treatment goals and perform a facial analysis to determine the appropriate treatment areas for you, so it’s very important to arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled procedure.
How many injections will I receive?
Treatment with BOTOX® Cosmetic is customized to your goals and needs. When you meet with Dr. Collado, he will determine the appropriate treatment for any areas you wish to address.
Pricing
To ensure the utmost potency of the Botox for each patient, we must use a full $500 vial within a 24-hour period.
We encourage our patients to either purchase the full vial for themselves, or split the vial amongst their friends, sisters, or coworkers if wanting less than the full $500 vial.
Our pricing is quite competitive with anywhere you check, being just $10/unit. You can rest assured that the price is fair and the attention to detail and safety is a priority. Below are the most common areas that we inject, however, any specific areas that are not listed can certainly be discussed between you and Dr. Collado prior to the procedure.
Glabella
This will be the area between your eyes. Even though its a small area, the muscles there can be very stubborn. |
Eyes
We can decrease "crows feet" where you still look like you, however, we won't inject any area too close to the eye for safety. |
Forehead
The forehead is one of the most common areas, but it's also the largest. The earlier you begin Botox the better as some facial lines become more defined over the years. |
